Could You Be a Good Candidate?
Final eligibility is determined individually by the reproductive clinic, medical professionals, legal requirements and Agape's screening process.
✓At least 21 years old; most agencies and clinics prefer candidates roughly 21–40, while professional medical guidance may permit older carriers after individualized review.
✓At least one prior healthy, term pregnancy and delivery, ideally without any significant obstetric complications.
✓Currently in good physical health and able to receive medical clearance for pregnancy.
✓Stable home and support environment with reliable transportation and ability to attend appointments.
✓No current nicotine use, illicit drug use or active substance abuse.
✓BMI and health history acceptable to the treating fertility or medical provider; exact limits vary by provider and pathway (BMI of less than 35 is preferred).
✓Willing to complete background, medical and psychological screening and provide accurate pregnancy/medical records; traditional-surrogacy candidates may also need additional genetic and family-history review.
✓Live in, or willing to travel for delivery to, a surrogacy-friendly state; legally able to enter into a surrogacy arrangement in the applicable jurisdiction; and willing to work with independent counsel.
